Mobenzi Pilot in the Western Cape
Today we had a good meeting with Andi Friedman from Mobenzi with regard to a pilot collaboration in the Western Cape. This will mean that we will have an increase number of our Social Media Factory Members who will be able to use their skills to provide valuable feedback to brands, products and services.

“Mobenzi is a software service that empowers people to be rewarded for completing simple tasks on their mobile phones. These tasks involve certain types of problems that are difficult for a computer to solve without assistance from a real person – even someone without expert knowledge of the problem.
The Mobenzi team seeks to uncover new applications for these ‘human intelligence tasks’ and build the systems to process them, so that we can create novel technology solutions and help thousands of poor people earn additional income.”…
This is definitely one of our large projects that could see a new way of how people are listening and responding to brands as well as create employment for those in need through the use of their mobile phones.

[...] Social Media Factory Members will soon be part of an exciting initiative where RLabs and Social Media Factory will be collaborating with the Mobenzi team. Social Media Factory is a RLabs initiave where we use local community members who have been introduced and trained in Social Media to be part of our service offering. The Social Media Factory seemed to be a perfect fit for Mobenzi as its basic idea is to create employment and give people an opportunity to earn a basic income using their mobile phones as a business tool. This is one of the few big projects that the RLabs and Social Media Factory have instore over the nex few weeks. You can read more about it here. [...]
